State Solo & Ensemble fee for 2012 Contest

The WIAA Board of Directors has reluctantly decided to implement an entry fee of $30 per soloist or ensemble for the 2012 Washington State Solo and Ensemble Contest. As with golf and tennis state tournaments, a participation fee is necessary to help offset some of the high costs of maintaining the events.
It is WIAA’s hope that with this early notification, school ASB budgets for 2011-2012 can include funding of this fee for those soloists and ensembles who qualify for the state contest, just as most or all schools currently budget participation fees for students who qualify for state athletic and other activity events.
